The Perfect Sweater Dress

I love wearing warm and comfy sweaters in the winter. These pictures were taken yesterday before I went for a walk on the lake near my home. It can get pretty windy on the lake so I brought a hat and gloves with me.

It was the perfect day, sunny and in the 60's. I hope we get more days like this in the winter!

My Closet!

I love my closet because it's all open. It's built in against my wall with no doors. So I love that I can display my shoes, purses, clothes out in the open.

When I walk in my room it makes me so happy to see all my items neatly hung and lined on the shelves :)

Pumpkins, Cider & Donuts!

Today my trip to the cider mill/apple orchard was a success. I drank hot apple cider and ate a buttermilk donut! I also picked up a few baby pumpkins and apple bread. Sampling all the different kinds of apples they grow was great.

I stayed warm in black ribbed sweater tights and a black jacket with gold embellishments.

Snake Skin Pattern Leggings for Winter

I am always looking for cool leggings with patterns instead of the standard black. So when I saw these the other day I was thrilled.

I matched these leggings with a black poncho sweater and black heels. Last night, so many people complimented me on my leggings. Next week, I'm going to wear them with a chunky cream sweater and knee high boots.

I Love My Fall/Winter Shoes

I looked for weeks for the perfect boots for Fall/Winter. I really wanted a black and tan boot with a flat heel but after going to 15+ stores I just couldn't find any I loved. I finally ordered the perfect pair at DSW. They go with every outfit and work perfectly for day and night.

I also wanted a comfy pair of day shoes that I could wear casually but still be cute. TOMS shoes are comfortable and have so many different styles that go with every outfit. I bought a pair in pink glitter and get compliments all the time. And they have a great cause: One for One. Which means that for every pair of shoes bought they give a pair of shoes to a child in need.

Light Branches

I love these beaded blossom light branches! These bendable lights add ambiance and decor to any room. I especially love them when entertaining. Not only are they beautiful on but they are a piece of art when they're off.

I recommend going to http://www.target.com/ or http://www.lightsforalloccasions.com/. You can search through dozens of lighted branches and flowers. Please share which ones you buy.

My Favorite Nail Polish

Every so often, I get a manicure and pedicure but I really do love polishing my nails. It saves me money on manicures and I find it so relaxing. My favorite color right now for Fall is, Sephora by O.P.I. called Queen of Everything. I bought a bottle for $8.50 at Sephora and it lasts for several months. An oufit isn't complete without polished nails. Have fun mixing and matching colors with all your fall outfits.

End Of The Week Treat= Lots of Antioxidants

There is a gourmet chocolate shop right across the street from me that I walk past everyday. I try to hold off as much as I can but when Friday comes along I figure I deserve to treat myself. Below are the amazing chocolates I ate today.

Not only do they taste delicious but the dark chocolate is naturally packed with antioxidants. I always choose dark chocolate over milk chocolate.

Update your fall wardrobe with a versatile light weight sweater. You can mix and match it with jeans, skirts, blazers, and jackets. I bought a short sleeve sweater from Urban Outfitters on sale for only $9.99! I created 3 totally different looks with items already in my closet.

My Bed!

I love mixing and matching different patterns and colors. Instead of buying a duvet and pillow set, you can buy pieces separately and create a one of a kind bed.

And it doesn't need to be expensive...all the pillows, sheets, and quilt are from Homegoods. The blanket at the edge of the bed is from Target.

I recommend choosing 1-2 colors and coordinating your pieces that way. My coordinating colors are blues, pinks, and greens.



If you want to be very particular, you can iron the flat sheet (the part that people see) and your pillow cases for a finished look.



My Favorite Lotions

I love lotions! Every girl should have a hand lotion and a body lotion. My favorite is LOVE & TOAST. They are small enough for me to throw in my bag and go, smell delicious, and are paraben-free. Packed with moisture without the greasy residue.
